Hurt

Gliding across the waves of sorrow,
He hurtled towards absolution,
Singing for the moment a sad song,
Hoping for a solution.
Oh is that even gonna come to him?
Like the snap of his fingers,
I wonder! Whatever, it's done;
Now, what's left are just shivers.
He had no clue what to do,
Now that she is gone,
What about the promises made?
And the future she had shown?
But little did he know,
What lay beyond the sea,
His heart was where he left behind,
As his eyes struggle to see.
But he continued marching;
Once on the barren land
He knew where to go at least,
There was a plan.
Follow the stars, they said,
For him, there was only one,
Who stopped shining for him,
Believing love had won!
How wrong she was...
